2023 Sanitary Consent Decree public meeting

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) held its Sixth Annual Consent Decree Public Information Session on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023. The general session was opened by DPW Director Jason W. Mitchell. Following his remarks, the Head of DPW’s Bureau of Water and Wastewater Yosef Kebede gave a presentation on the Modified Consent Decree for the Sanitary Sewer System and the City’s progress under the Decree over the past 12 months. The Annual Public Meeting is a requirement of the Modified Consent Decree, entered in U.S. District Court on Oct. 6, 2017.

    2022 Public Meeting

    2022 Sanitary Consent Decree public meeting

    The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) held its Fifth Annual Consent Decree Public Information Session on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting was held in a virtual format. The meeting featured over 100 attendees.  The general session was opened by DPW Director Jason W. Mitchell.  Following his remarks, the Head of DPW’s Bureau of Water and Wastewater Yosef Kebede gave a presentation on the Modified Consent Decree for the Sanitary Sewer System and the City’s progress under the Decree over the past 12 months. The Annual Public Meeting is a requirement of the Modified Consent Decree, entered in U.S. District Court on Oct. 6, 2017.

    The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) held its Fourth Annual Consent Decree Public Information Session on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting was held in a virtual format. Some 122 people joined this online meeting. Paul DeSantis, DPW’s Chief of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, presented an overview of the Department’s work, especially over the last 12 months, to meet the terms and conditions of the Modified Consent Decree. The annual public meeting is a requirement of the Modified Consent Decree, entered in U.S. District Court on Oct. 6, 2017.

At this annual public meeting, Paul DeSantis, DPW’s Chief of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, presented an overview of the Department’s work, especially over the last 12 months, to meet the terms and conditions of the Modified Consent Decree. The annual public meeting is a requirement of the Modified Consent Decree, entered in U.S. District Court on Oct. 6, 2017.

    2019 Public Meeting

    2019 Sanitary Consent Decree public meeting

    The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) held its Second Annual Consent Decree meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019. At this annual public meeting, Paul DeSantis, DPW’s Chief of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, presented an overview of the Department’s work, especially over the last 12 months, to meet the terms and conditions of the Modified Consent Decree. The annual public meeting is a requirement of the Modified Consent Decree, entered in the U.S. District Court on Oct. 6, 2017. At the public meeting, DPW unveiled an online interactive map that provides near real-time data on sanitary sewer overflows.
