Water Main Break - Madison St at Guilford Avenue

BALTIMORE, MD (November 12, 2012) - Shortly after 8:00 a.m. this morning a break occurred on a 30 inch water main near the intersection of Madison St and Guilford Ave. Madison is closed between Fallsway to Calvert St. Guilford is closed from Monument St to Madison St. The Guilford off-ramp from the JFX is closed. Please avoid the immediate area. 

DPW crews and other emergency personnel are on the scene working to shut down the main. Low water pressure is being experienced in the vicinity. When the main is closed off we hope to restore pressure. Some cloudiness may also be experienced and residents and businesses experiencing that in this vicinity should not run or use the water at this time.

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is pleased to announce that Baltimore City residential water customers have more time to sign up for Paperless Billing and receive a one-time, 5% discount off a monthly water bill. Residents who enroll in paperless billing by Friday, June 30, will receive the 5% discount.
