Temporary Water Service Disruption Contractor hits water line to Colgate Tank
The Baltimore City Department of Public Works has been informed that late this afternoon a contractor damaged a water main leading to the Colgate Water Tank in Eastern Baltimore County. The break occurred on Simmons Avenue near the tank.
Approximately 2,600 homes/businesses in the area roughly bounded by E. Baltimore Street on the north, Merritt Boulevard on the east, Delvale Avenue on the south and Quinton Street on the west may experience a temporary water outage for a few hours this evening.
Crews have isolated the break and will begin repairs shortly. Once water is restored, there may be low pressure overnight while repairs are being made.
