Department of Public Works Investigates Suspected Water Main Leak at Monument Street and Patterson Park Avenue
BALTIMORE, MD (March 13, 2013) – The Department of Public Works is currently on scene at the intersection of N. Patterson Park Avenue and E. Monument Street investigating what appears to be a leak on a 12-inch water main. Preliminary investigations have confirmed this incident is unrelated to last year’s storm drain collapse, which occurred near the same area.
Currently, northbound Patterson Park Avenue is closed, while southbound Patterson Park Avenue remains open. In addition the right lane of eastbound Monument Street at Patterson Park is also closed.
These closures will remain through peak travel hours this evening. Please use alternate routes as the traffic impact will be heavy during the closures.
Updates to follow as the investigation continues.
