DPW’s Labor Day Closures and Service Interruptions

BALTIMORE MD (August 15, 2013) - Director Alfred H. Foxx reminds residents that Labor Day is a City holiday and the Department of Public Works’ Offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, 2013.

On Labor Day – Monday, September 2:

NO TRASH AND RECYCLING COLLECTION: Mondays are not regular curbside trash and recycling collection days in Baltimore City.

DPW’s YARDS CLOSED: Drop off Centers and yards will be closed on Labor Day, including the Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station; and the Eastern, Western and Northwestern Citizen Convenience Centers.

MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPING: There will be no Mechanical Street Sweeping on Labor Day.

BULK TRASH: There will be no bulk trash collection scheduled on Labor Day.

PARKING METERS: Parking meters will NOT be in effect on Labor Day.

Residents who enroll in paperless billing by Friday, June 30, will receive the 5% discount.
