DPW’s Veterans Day Closures and Service Interruptions
BALTIMORE MD (November 4, 2013) - Director Alfred H. Foxx reminds residents that Veterans Day is a City holiday and the Department of Public Works’ offices will be closed Monday, November 11, 2013.
On Veterans Day – Monday, November 11:
NO TRASH AND RECYCLING COLLECTION: Mondays are not regular curbside trash and recycling collection days in Baltimore City.
DPW’s YARDS CLOSED: Drop-off centers and yards will be closed on Veterans Day, including the Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station; and the Eastern, Western and Northwestern Citizen Convenience Centers.
MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPING: There will be no mechanical street sweeping on Veterans Day.
BULK TRASH: There is no bulk trash collection scheduled on Veterans Day.
PARKING METERS: Parking meters will be in effect on Veterans Day.
