City Holiday Reminder

BALTIMORE, MD (February 14, 2014) – Acting Director Rudolph S, Chow reminds everyone that Presidents Day, February 17, 2014, is a City holiday. Department of Public Works’ offices and yards will be CLOSED.

Presidents Day: 

  • Regular trash, recycling and bulk collections are not scheduled for that day.Monday is a make up collection day for curbside trash and recycling collections which were cancelled on Friday. Cancelled bulk collections must be rescheduled by calling 311.  
  • Citizen drop-off centers WILL BE CLOSED (all yards, including Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station and the Eastern, Western and Northwest Collections Facilities).  
  • Mechanical street sweeping will NOT take place. 
  • Parking meters WILL be in effect.

DPW Extends Deadline to Receive Discount for Paperless Billing Sign Up

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is pleased to announce that Baltimore City residential water customers have more time to sign up for Paperless Billing and receive a one-time, 5% discount off a monthly water bill. Residents who enroll in paperless billing by Friday, June 30, will receive the 5% discount.
