Independence Day Holiday

July 2, 2014 (BALTIMORE, MD) — Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., reminds everyone that Independence Day, Friday, July 4 is a City Holiday. Department of Public Works offices and yards will be CLOSED.
- Trash, recycling, and bulk collections are not scheduled for July 4. Trash and recycling normally scheduled for collection on Friday will be picked up on Saturday, July 5.
- Citizen drop-off centers WILL BE CLOSED (all yards, including Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station, and the Eastern, Western and Northwest Collections Facilities).
- Mechanical street sweeping WILL NOT take place.
- Household Hazardous Waste drop-off will not occur on July 4, but will take place on Saturday, July 5 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Northwest Citizen Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street.
- Parking meters WILL NOT be in effect.
