DPW’s Labor Day Closures and Service Interruptions

BALTIMORE MD (August 29, 2014) - Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., reminds residents that Labor Day is a City holiday and that DPW offices will be closed Monday, September 1, 2014.
- NO TRASH AND RECYCLING COLLECTION: Mondays are not regular curbside trash and recycling collection days in Baltimore City.
- DPW’s YARDS CLOSED: All Citizen Convenience Centers WILL BE CLOSED, including Quarantine Road Landfill.
- MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPING: There will be no Mechanical Street Sweeping on Labor Day.
- BULK TRASH: There will be no bulk trash collection scheduled on Labor Day.
- PARKING METERS: Parking meters will NOT be in effect on Labor Day.
- SPECIAL NOTE: The last day for extended summer hours at the Solid Waste drop off centers is tomorrow, Saturday, August 30. After Labor Day the hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
