BALTIMORE, MD (December 19, 2014) - Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow announced today that the 2015 Department of Public Works (DPW) Calendar is in the mail to Baltimore City residents. The highly popular calendar is a vital tool for our citizens, providing a wide range of information about our services and programs.

In addition, each month of the calendar highlights a specific aspect of the important work performed by DPW including BaltiMeter and the Municipal Trash Can Pilot program.  New this year, and included in the calendar, are schedules for mechanical street sweeping, locations for discount recycle bin sales, and the date of the Montebello Centennial rededication event.  There are also tips on protecting your pipes from FOG, Fats, Oils and Grease.

The calendar contains information on trash and recycling collections, household hazardous waste drop off days, and the City’s holiday schedule.  Citizens should keep the calendar handy all year to plan ahead for DPW’s annual Big Truck Day and the Mayor’s Spring and Fall cleanups.

The calendar is free. City residents who have not received a calendar within the next two weeks should call 311 to request one. The calendar will also be posted on-line at publicworks.baltimorecity.gov.
