UPDATE: Gay Street Remains Closed Through Thursday Morning Rush Hour
BALTIMORE, MD - The Baltimore City Department of Public Works is continuing to diverting traffic on Gay Street, in the vicinity of City Hall, due to a break on a 16-inch water main near the Gay Street – Saratoga Street intersection. Crews are still repairing a section of the pipe and must keep the area clear of traffic until the excavation has been filled and the road surface refinished.
Gay Street traffic is being diverted at Fayette Street. Detours are posted.Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes away from the vicinity of the break.
Water is expected to be out at least through the morning. Once it is restored, customers should allow water to run until clear if there is any cloudiness.
