Valentine’s Day Recycling Bin Discount Sale
BALTIMORE, MD – It is that time of year again when you wrack your brain to find the perfect gift for that special someone. Have you thought about something in 50 shades of red? Neither have we, but we have one shade of yellow recycling bin in two sizes, and both are on sale this Saturday.
Valentine’s Day is a time to show you care about that special someone. You can also show your love for the environment through recycling. To make that easier, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., today announced that Baltimore City’s bright canary yellow 25 gallon recycling bins will be on sale at deeply discounted rates.
On Saturday, February 14, 2015 only, Baltimore residents can purchase the bins for $7 (regularly $12) and receive a free “I (heart) Recycling” sticker. Smaller 18 gallon bins are also available at the regular price of just $4 (regularly $5), and lids for the large containers are just $3.
Where: Eastern Citizens’ Convenience Center
6101 Bowleys Lane.
When: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Recycling benefits our environment and our city, and it is easy to do. So this Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to recycle your cards, gift boxes and your celebratory beverage bottles and cans.
As a reminder, residents do not need city-issued recycling bins to recycle. Paper bags, cardboard or plastic boxes and trash cans, labeled “recycling”, are all acceptable containers. Please do not use plastic bags for recycling.
