Celebrate Earth Day with a Clean Workspace
BALTIMORE, MD — To help prepare for Earth Day, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works will offer businesses an opportunity to get rid of unwanted office paper on “Clean Your Files Day.” Clean Your Files Day will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015. The event is free but Baltimore City companies must register to participate.
On “Clean Your Files Day,” DPW will collect recyclable materials from all registered groups, regardless of their regularly scheduled collection day. This means that businesses, government agencies and non-profits will have an extra chance to recycle unwanted items such as paper of all colors and type including newspapers, books and cardboard. DPW will also collect plastic, glass bottles, and metal cans for recycling.
To register, businesses must contact the City’s Office of Recycling on or before Monday, April 13. Please call 410-396-4511 or send an email toNatasha.Neale@baltimorecity.gov.
Participants will need to provide the company name and address, contact information, type of material to be collected and the collection location, i.e. front, rear or side. Recycling must be set out by 8 a.m. on Clean Your Files Day, Monday, April 20.
This event is presented as a part of the Drive to 35 campaign, Baltimore’s race to reach a 35 percent recycling rate.
