One Day Only: Pre-Fourth of July Recycle Bin Sale!
BALTIMORE – The Baltimore City Department of Public Works is holding a pre-Fourth of July sale on its bright canary yellow recycling bins.
Baltimore residents can purchase the bins for $7 (regularly $12) and lids are just $3. Bins will be on sale Sunday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The sale will take place in the parking lot of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute ( aka "Poly" High School). Customers are advised to enter and park on the Cold Spring Lane side of the parking lot, where the bin sale will occur.
Recycling benefits our environment and our city, and it is easy to do this Fourth of July. Don’t forget to recycle celebratory beverage bottles and cans as well as some of those picnic- or cookout- related items. Please see attached Single Stream Sorting Guide for additional information on recyclable items.
As a reminder, residents do not need city-issued recycling bins to recycle. Paper bags, cardboard or plastic boxes and trash cans, labeled “recycling,” are all acceptable containers. Please do not use plastic bags for recycling.
Additional recycle bin sales will be held:
- September 19, Montebello Centennial at Lake Montebello.
- October 10, Discount Recycle Bin Sale, 9 a.m. – 1p.m., Patterson Park
