Your 2016 DPW Calendar is in the Mail!
BALTIMORE – Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., announced today that the 2016 Department of Public Works (DPW) Calendar is in the mail to Baltimore City residents. The calendar provides a wealth of important information for City residents, with dates and times for scheduled DPW services, convenience center drop-off hours and upcoming events.
In addition, each month of the calendar highlights important information about the delivery of DPW services. For instance, January provides tips on keeping your pipes from freezing during the winter; February highlights the upcoming roll out of the Municipal Trash Can Program; and March features the agency’s proactive inspection of water mains.
The calendar also contains information on the DPW Environmental Police, the Rat Eradication Program, Mechanical Street Sweeping and much, much more! Dates and locations are provided for household hazardous waste drop off days, discount recycle bin sale and paper shredding days, along with the date for the 2016 Loch Raven Reservoir Dam Jam, the Mayor’s Spring and Fall Cleanups, and the always popular Big Truck Day.
Trash and recycling collection schedules, and City holidays and recycling/trash makeup days are also provided.
Citizens should keep the calendar handy all year to plan ahead for DPW events.
The calendar is free. City residents who have not received a calendar within the next two weeks should call 311 to request one. The calendar is also posted on-line in English and Spanish at publicworks.baltimorecity.gov.
