Overnight Water Repairs in the Beechfield Community of SW Baltimore
Beginning Friday night, January 8, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works will begin extensive valve installation work, which will temporarily interrupt water service in the Beechfield Community in Southwest Baltimore. The valve work is needed in order to complete repairs on a 16-inch water main at 5010 Frederick Ave.
The work will start at 8 p.m. on Friday, and is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. on Saturday, January 9.
Boundaries of the area where water service will be affected are approximately:
North – Frederick Avenue
South – S. College Road-Melbourne Road
East – Beechfield Avenue
West – Random Road, S. Wickham Road, and Williston Street
Additional streets affected outside the boundary area include: Rock Glen Road, Chedworth Lane, Stafford Road, Atholwood Lane, Parkton Street, Cedar Garden Road, Thornfield Road, and Warwick Road.
Water service will also be interrupted at Beechfield Elementary School, Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents, and the Wyndholme Woods Residential Community, a condominium community.
