DPW Customer Walk-In Center Moves to First Floor of Municipal Building
Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., has announced that the agency's Customer Support and Services Walk-In Center has moved to the lobby level of the Abel Wolman Municipal Building, in Room 8. The Abel Wolman Municipal Building is located at 200 Holliday Street, next to City Hall.
The change in location for helping our water and sewer customers means no more showing identification to security, no more visitor badges, and no more elevator rides to another floor. It streamlines the process so that our customers can get their questions answered without unnecessary obstacles and delays. Additionally, more agents have been assigned to the walk-in center.
This is the latest of many steps taken in recent years to improve Baltimore's water/sewer metering and billing systems. These include more and better trained customer support staff, installation of new automated water meters that provide hourly consumption data, the dramatic reduction of estimated bills, and a new, easier-to-read, budget-friendly monthly bill.
The Walk-In Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except holidays. Customers can also reach Customer Support and Services at 410-396-5398 or at DPW.Billing@baltimorecity.gov.
