New Year's Holiday Observed
Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., reminds City residents that the New Year’s holiday will be observed Monday, January 2, 2017 .
- Trash, recycling, and bulk collections are NOT scheduled for January 2.
- DPW offices, drop-off centers and yards will be CLOSED on Monday.
- Mechanical street sweeping will NOT take place, and street sweeping parking restrictions will NOT be in effect.
- Parking meters will NOT be in effect only on January 1.
- NOTE: New Year’s Eve is NOT a City holiday. This means that City drop-off centers will be OPEN December 31, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., except for the Northwest Transfer Station which will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Recycling Reminder:
Please remember to recycle your holiday wrappings and beverage containers from your seasonal gatherings. Paper, cardboard, glass and plastic bottles and jars, aluminum and metal cans, and even Styrofoam (drop-off only), are among these recyclables.
