The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) will update residents on work to comply with the Modified Consent Decree for the City’s sewer collection system. The annual meeting to discuss this is 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23 at the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. The meeting is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

DPW will begin with an overview of the work covered by the Consent Decree, especially work over the past 12 months. Visitors may also gain more information about specific parts of the program by speaking with experts from DPW at individual learning stations set up in the meeting room. Topics to be covered include preventive maintenance programs, the Headworks Project, and local economic development.
