City Bureau of Solid Waste Routine Services to Resume

Department of Public Works Acting Director, Matthew W. Garbark announced today that the Bureau of Solid Waste will resume the majority of its services beginning on Monday, June 29.  This includes recycling and trash collections, alley cleaning, cleaning and mowing, boarding, rat abatement, and other services. However, graffiti removal, bulk trash collection, and citywide mechanical street sweeping are still suspended for the time being. Residents’ normally scheduled curbside collection days for trash and recycling remain the same.

REMINDER:

Friday, July 3, 2020 is a City Holiday and City offices will be closed.  However, curbside trash and recycling collections will occur as normal on Friday, July 3. 

The Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, the Northwest Transfer Station and the Quarantine Road Landfill will be open on Friday, July 3, and closed on Saturday, July 4.  The residential drop-off centers at Reedbird and Bowleys Lane remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mechanical street sweeping remains suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents who enroll in paperless billing by Friday, June 30, will receive the 5% discount.
