DPW Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Days are Friday - Saturday, Sept. 4 and 5
Baltimore City Department of Public Works Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark today reminds citizens that the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event for September will occur on Friday and Saturday, September 4 and 5. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on both days, September 4 and 5 at the Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, located at 2840 Sisson Street.
Residents who come to Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off events are asked to wear a face covering and to stay inside their vehicles. As a reminder, the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event is for Baltimore City residents only, and is not intended for businesses or commercial users.
Household hazardous waste includes materials such as household cleaning products, bleach, ammonia, batteries, solvents, oil-based paint, etc. Latex paint is not considered hazardous and should be dried out and disposed of with your regular trash, or donated. A full list of materials that are acceptable/unacceptable can be found on the Department of Public Works website: http://publicworks.baltimorecity.gov/recycling-services.
The final Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off event for the year is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3 at the Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This event will also be held at the Northwest Citizens’ Convenience Center at 2840 Sisson Street as well.
