It’s the season for giving! It is time to give to those in need! This holiday season, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is partnering with the Departments of Transportation, Housing and Community Development, and General Services to help residents during these unprecedented times.

“Despite the daily challenges we all are facing, the holiday season remains a time of joy and generosity and a time to renew our commitment to serve those in need,” said Acting DPW Director Matthew W. Garbark. “I am asking City employees and residents to continue to make a difference in the lives of their family, friends and neighbors by supporting the 2020 Giving Tree Campaign.”

During this year’s Giving Tree Campaign, City employees and residents can make donations virtually through dedicated online links to two charitable organizations, St. Vincent De Paul of Baltimore and MCVET. Donations can be made online using the Giving Tree Campaign exclusive charitable links provided on the flyer below. St. Vincent De Paul of Baltimore and MCVET are also accepting drop-off donations (full or twin-size sheets, socks, gloves, hats, toiletries, towel sets, or clothing).

“For the last 47 years, DPW has supported holiday charitable giving efforts to help to ensure City families have the basic necessities they need to survive during the winter months. I am proud to continue this tradition,” Acting Director Garbark said.
