Redevelopment Stormwater Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a Redevelopment Stormwater Waiver in accordance with Article 7 Section 23 of the City Code.

Applicant: JBG/Baltimore SSA, L.L.C., 4445 Willard Avenue, Suite 400, Chevy Chase, MD 20815.

Project Description: The proposed Social Security Administration Development at 6100 Wabash Avenue is part of a 11.3-acre site. The project is proposed to be constructed under two phases. Under the first phase there is a net decrease of 4.87 acres of impervious surfaces, which exceeds the 50% requirement for removal of impervious surfaces. Under the second phase, green roofs and microbioretention facilities will be constructed to meet stormwater management requirements. Additional improvements include:

  • 557,000+/- SF office building
  • 12,500+/- SF daycare building
  • 1100+/- space parking garage
  • Construction of various utilities, storm drainage systems, roadway improvements, sidewalk improvements, and landscaping
  • Other site improvements
