Application for Redevelopment Waiver: Mergenthaler Vocational High School – Greening Project

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project need not comply with the requirements of the State’s Design Manual for quantity control.

Project Description:

The project has an approximate area of 0.52 acres and is located on the Southwest corner of the school property at the intersection of East 35th St. & Tivoly Ave. The project will consist of removing 0.52 acres of asphalt parking lot and converting it to turf and native landscaping.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide impervious area reduction to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 0.52 acres of this project.
