Application for Redevelopment Waiver: Living Classrooms

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description:

The project has an approximate area of 0.38 acres and is located northwest of the intersection of S. Caroline Street and Dock Street. The project will consist of a proposed 2-story metal frame school building with a green roof.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide water quality control through the use of a green roof to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 0.38 acres of this project.
