Application for Redevelopment Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 8.00 acres and is located along South Central Avenue between Dock Street and East Baltimore Street. The project will consist of a bridge connecting South Central Avenue to Harbor Point, utility work on South Central Avenue and reconstruction of Central Avenue and adjacent sidewalks and landscaping for roadway improvement and ADA accessibility.
The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide water quality controls, impervious area reduction and off-site mitigation in the form of tree planting to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 2.33 ac of this project.
