The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a variance of Stormwater Management.

Applicant: 1234 McElderry, LLC C/O Mission First Housing Development Corporation
ESD #:
7684 R1
Watershed(s):  Baltimore Harbor

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 3.62 acres and is located along Aisquith Street to the west, North Central Avenue to the east and McElderry Street to the south. The project will include a multi-story mixed use commercial and residential building with parking garage along with a Contractor staging and storage area.

The Applicant is requesting a variance from the requirement to provide SWM qualitative and quantitative controls for approximately 1.13 acres of this project in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §24 of the Baltimore City Code.  The area will be used as a Contractor’s staging and storage area and will be returned to the existing condition at the completion of construction.  Strict adherence to the requirements would result in an unnecessary hardship and would not fulfill the intent of the SWM Ordinance.
