The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a Redevelopment Stormwater Waiver. If granted, the project need not comply with the requirements of the State’s Design Manual for quantity control.

Project Description:  The Lifebridge Health site address is 5400 Preakness Way, Baltimore, and the site can be accessed at the intersection of W Belvedere Ave and Pimlico Rd at address 2798 W. Belvedere Ave for inspection. The proposed limits of disturbance (LOD) is 2.74 acres.

The project scope includes the demolition of existing barns and pavement, and it includes the abandonment/removal of utilities. The impervious surfaces will be replaced with grass. There is a net decrease of 2.72 acres of impervious surfaces which exceeds the 50% requirement for removal of impervious surfaces.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver.  The project will provide impervious area removal to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 1.36 ac of this project.
