The 2018 Public Works Calendar Is in the Mail
Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., announced today that the 2018 Department of Public Works (DPW) Calendar is in the mail to Baltimore City residents. The calendar provides a wealth of important information for City residents, with dates and times for scheduled DPW services, convenience center drop-off hours and locations, and upcoming events.
In addition, each month of the calendar highlights important information about the delivery of DPW services. For instance, January provides information on recycling; May highlights the popular Big Truck Day event; and October features the Mayor's Fall Cleanup.
The calendar also contains schedule information for quadrant Mechanical Street Sweeping, dates and locations for household hazardous waste drop off days and discount recycle bin sales, and the information for the 2018 Dam Jam which will be held at Lake Montebello this summer.
Information on City holidays, and on recycling/trash makeup days are also provided.
Citizens should keep the calendar handy all year to plan ahead for DPW events and services.
The calendar is free. City residents who have not received a calendar within the next two weeks should call 311 to request one. The calendar will also be posted on-line in English and Spanish at publicworks.baltimorecity.gov.
