Application for Qualitative Control Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a request of a qualitative control waiver (§23-2)1. The applicant must provide stormwater management for the proposed project whether or not the waiver is granted.

Project Description:
University of Maryland Medical Center project involves reconfiguration/redevelopment of their existing loading dock area and addition of other loading docks in the South Hospital Building.
The proposed improvements include:
- Construction of New Dock with Canopy
- Relocation of Guard House
- Hyperbaric and Nitrogen Tank Relocation
- Gamma Pod Demolition
- Interior Corridor Improvements
- Pneumatic Tube External Routing
The stormwater management quantity and quality control requirements were determined using the City of Baltimore Stormwater Management Ordinance 2010 and the 2000 Maryland Stormwater Design Manual, Volume I and II including supplements. A Rainwater Harvesting system is proposed to address the SWM requirements of the project.
