Shred events are scheduled 4 times per year, once in the spring, summer, fall, and one on a Sunday in November. 

Shred events allow residents to drop off paper from home that needs to be shredded and recycled. DPW contracts with Shred It to bring shredding trucks to each event that take in the paper and shred it on site. No one, including DPW and Shred It staff, have access to the papers once they are inside the trucks. 

These events are for residential use only, commercial vehicles are not allowed. 

DPW frequently partners with the GROW centers and BGE to offer additional information and drop off services during the shred events.
