DPW Begins Receiving Leaf Collection Requests Oct. 2

Fall has arrived and soon we’ll see falling leaves wherever there are trees in Baltimore City. Leaf collection season begins Monday, October 26, 2020, and will continue through Monday, January 4, 2021.  Beginning October 2, residents can call 311 to schedule special Monday pickups of up to 20 bags of leaves. Residents can make multiple appointments until all the bags are gone. Residents must call before 6pm on Sunday to schedule a collection for the following Monday.  Citizens may make multiple appointments for up to two months prior to the pick-up date.

DPW Offers Residents A Fall Cleaning and Greening Superfecta

Baltimore City Department of Public Works Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark today announced that DPW will offer four popular events all on one day.  Residents will be able to participate in Recycling Drop-OffPaper Shredding, and a Mini GROW Center Pop-Up from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3 at 2801 St. Lo Drive in Clifton Park.  The Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event is Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2 and 3 at the Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, located at 2840 Sisson Street from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Update: DPW Announces Changes to the Solid Waste Continuity of Service Plan

Extended Hours and New Locations for Community Collection Recycling Centers

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark today announced the findings of the assessment of the Community Collection Centers for recycling locations under the Solid Waste Continuity of Service Plan. Effective Monday, Sept. 14, the Community Collection Centers’ hours for all locations will be extended on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The Centers will continue to be open to City residents Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for recycling drop-off.  The Citizens’ Convenience Drop-Off Centers’ hours will remain unchanged.

Labor Day Holiday Notice

Recycling Community Collection Centers will not be open on Labor Day.
